HHP 212 Clinical II
Clinical experiences designed to provide students with formal instruction and evaluation in Athletic Training Clinical Proficiencies. Students will work with an Approved Clinical Instructor throughout the semester and must complete 10 hours of clinical experience each week in addition to regular class meetings. The focus of this clinical will be risk management, pharmacology, nutritional aspects of injury and illness and general medical conditions. Lecture: 2hrs/wk; clinical 10 hrs/wk. 1/4 Unit

HHP 308 Athletic Injury Prevention
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of techniques utilized to prevent athletic injuries. Major topics will include general medical conditions and assessment, pre-participation examinations, pharmacology, physical conditioning techniques, prophylactic taping, bracing, and padding utilized in sports medicine. Lecture: 3 hrs/wk. 1/2 Unit
- Admission to Athletic Training major; HHP-221 Must be taken prior to taking this course.
