HHP 213 Clinical III

Clinical experiences designed to provide students with formal instruction and evaluation in Athletic Training Clinical Proficiencies. Students will work with an Approved Clinical Instructor throughout the semester and must complete 10 hours of clinical experience each week in addition to regular class meetings. The focus of this clinical will be injury assessment and evaluation. Lecture: 2hrs/wk; clinical 10 hrs/wk. 1/4 Unit

The causes, consequences, and reduction of accidents in all areas of life. First aid procedures including prevention, recognition, and care for injury and sudden illness. Lecture: 3 hrs/wk. for 1 /2 of the term. 1/2 Unit

HHP 415 Eval of Athletic Injuries

This course will provide students with a thorough understanding of the procedures for evaluation of athletic injuries. Emphasis will be placed on the head, spine, and upper and lower extremities. Lecture: 3 hrs/wk. 1 Unit

Requisites

  • Admission to Athletic Training major or successful Must be taken prior to taking this course.
  • completion of BIOL-230 or permission
