PHST 202 Global Health

Health for all has long been a stated goal in global society. The achievement of this goal, however, necessitates a complex understanding of the many social, ecological, economic and political factors that affect the constantly changing health of a given population. Students will come to better understand causative factors associated with communicable and non-communicable diseases worldwide, traditional and new approaches to treatment and health promotion, and best practices for engaging in efforts at improving health outcomes within and between global cultures.
