Dr. Buchholz joined the department in 2004. He recieved the B.S. in psychology from Virginia Tech ('93), the M.A. from Appalachian State ('98), and the Ph.D. from Florida Atlantic ('02).

Research & Teaching Interests

Dr. Buchholz teaches courses in Evolutionary Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Seminar, History of Psychology, The Meaning of Life, and Psychology in Film. His research lab conducts studies in Self, Consciousness, Evolutionary Psychology, Moral Decision Making, and Complexity in Music and Film.
